alert me if it goes on clearance

Shopping is my kryptonite. But online shopping? That shit is dangerous.

I knew I was in trouble the first time I memorized my debit card number and had unlimited access to clothes. Beauty products. Shoes. With just one click of a  finger I could have something show up at my door step in 5-8 days. There’s just a certain rush you (or just I?) get when spending money and buying something and knowing I will have something new and exciting to brighten up my week.

I’m not a shopping addict. I swear.

Anyway, now that I’m an adult with bills and all that not-fun stuff, I usually just browse, or fill up my cart with all the things I wish I could afford and then close out of my browser window and sigh. First world problems.

One thing I wonder, though. You know how you go to add something to your cart, and the website is out of your size? They give you the option for them to notify you via email once the item is available in your size again.

For those of us who are broke/too cheap/just don’t like it enough to pay full price: where is the button to alert me when the item goes on clearance?

Seriously! I don’t think I’m the only person who can see the genius in this idea.

Here’s a few things I’ve been listing over, wishing they would go on sale, so I don’t have to choose between clothes or, you know, food:

Until it exists though, you can just find me on my couch, sighing, moving items in and out of my virtual cart.

  1. Haha first world problems indeed, but trust me you are not the only one! That’s become a weekly basis activity that I am facing ever since I left uni and also entered a world of bills, council tax and rent. Lovely post 🙂 xx
