mount rainier in the fall

Ever since school started up again and the dark has been creeping up a little earlier every evening, I’ve been nagging my boyfriend to go to Mount Rainier with me. This weekend we finally made it. We usually go a few times a year but we hadn’t gone yet in 2015 at all. I’m so ashamed.

Anyway, I was super excited to see the fall colors at the mountain. Autumn at my house has been disappointing to say the least. Between the lack of maple trees and the fact that our outrageously dry and hot summer led to the trees dying early, I’ve been craving some beautiful fall foliage. Mount Rainier did not disappoint.

I love Mount Rainier. I think everyone should visit at least once, if given the chance. It has a little bit of everything. The crisp white cap of the mountain, serene blue skies and streams, vast views of green trees as far as you can see, and this month, warm oranges and yellows as the leaves retire for the year. At Mount Rainier, nature’s full spectrum of colors awaits you.
